Omschrijving:
The sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) is a ray-finned fish from the family of Moronidae and belongs to the order of perchiformes (Perciformes). An adult sea bass is on average 50 cm, but can reach a length of 103 cm and a weight of 12 kg. The sea bass occurs in both fresh and salt water. Young fish often enter river estuaries where the fish can be observed in brackish water. The fish is gray or blue on the back and silver on the flanks, the belly is yellowish or white. The taste is slightly sweet and mild with a fine structure.
